b) permanent tissues (mature cells)

A) is actively dividing cells through mitosis, cells are small, thin-walled, with no central vocuole and no specialized features. three regions of meristematic:

i) apical meristem

ii) lateral meristem

iii) intercalary meristem

b) divide into three:

i) ground tissue system - parenchyma, collenchyma, sclerenchyma

ii) dermal tissue system-periderm

iii) vascular tissue system-xylem and phloem
